Craig and Anne Black launched the first Black Toyota dealership in Chinchillla in 1983. The success of this business led to the acquisition of additional Black Toyota Dealerships in Dalby, Roma, Oakey and Warwick. The Black Group then commenced its expansion into New South Wales with the acquisition of Black Toyota Grafton. Recently this expansion continued with the addition of Black Toyota Longreach and Central Highlands Toyota and Central Highlands Mitsubishi at Emerald and Springsure.
Catering to an ever expanding customer base several of the dealerships now offer a range of brands. Franchises include Toyota, Hyundai, Mitsubishi, Hino and Suzuki.
The past decade has seen the Black Group diversify into several related businesses including Boonarga Welding, Black Trac Agricultural and Construction Machinery and Budget Rent a Car South West Queensland. This diversification has enabled the group to provide a range of additional benefits to their valued customers.
Black Toyota has recently made a significant investment in infrastructure, constructing new state of the art dealerships in Dalby, Warwick and Grafton. These dealerships include large scale showrooms and extensive service facilities, with Dalby also incorporating the Group’s central administration centre.
An additional major facility on the outskirts of Dalby includes the Group’s central workshop where vehicles are fitted with genuine accessories and aftermarket products before being transported to dealerships. This complex also houses the Group’s large Panel Shop and Boonarga Welding.
The success of the Black Group can be attributed to twin philosophies of offering genuine deals and outstanding customer service.
